Santa Fe Hills is an upscale community in San Marcos, California that is considered to be very family friendly. It is located near Highway 78 which is convenient for shoppers and commuters.
Most of the homes in Santa Fe Hills were built in the 1990s and 2000s; today there are around 1,750 homes here. There are many starter homes with three to four bedrooms and three to four baths at an affordable price. You will also find larger homes that have up to 3,334 square feet of living space and six bedrooms.
This community is served by the San Marcos Unified School District which is one of San Diego County’s largest. Students may attend facilities like San Marcos Middle School as well as highly ranked Paloma Elementary and Mission Hills High School. There are several charter and private schools like the High Tech facilities, Saint Joseph Academy, and Valley Christian School. Nearby you’ll find the University of California San Marcos and Palomar Community College.
Residents have many options for shopping with the Grand Plaza which offers services as well as merchants for everything a resident could possibly need.
There are many hiking trails and parks in this area like Cerro de Las Posas Park which is known for its aquatic facility. This park has a water play area and 25-yard lap pool. Lessons are also available. Sunset Park features 19 acres of space with playgrounds, an amphitheater, half basketball court, sports fields, indoor soccer arena, dog park, disc golf course, splash pad, and picnic areas. There are also trails for biking, hiking, and walking.
The Twin Oaks Golf Course is located to the east and offers a Ted Robinson 18-hole course as well as a driving range, private lessons, and golf clinics. There are also tournament services and visitors can relax at the 2 Oaks Pub overlooking the 18th green.
